Happy Sommarsolståndet!!!

(Summer Solstice)

So even though the actual solstice is today at 17:16, we will celebrate it on Friday.


But I feel obliged to acknowledge that it is happening today and have a moment during that time to reflect on the power of Nature all around me!


So Happy Summer Solstice all you lovely heathens out there.
May you all breath clean air and drink clear water!

We always celebrate out in nature:)
We eat sill (Atlantic herring) and eggs and caviar and strawberry cake and drink a lot of hard liquor and dance around the Maypole or as we call it here Midsommarstång

In modern Sweden, Midsummer's Eve and Midsummer's Day (Midsommarafton and Midsommardagen) were formerly celebrated on 23 June and 24 June, but since 1953 the celebration has been moved to the Friday and Saturday between 19 June and 26 June.
