Spring-cleaning today.

Spring-cleaning today.

Well, winter never really came, apart from a day or two that snowed, but then it went all to hell again. And since February is my absolutely favourite month I want to be prepared for his arrival. And this year is a leap year so I get to have one extra day of my favourite month.

Today the sun shines with his cold teeth. The sky is bluer than the deepest blue and I am about to empty four compartments of my big closet on my bed. It is going to be a huge black pile of lace, velvet, satin, taffeta, polyester, nylon, cotton and latex. I am going to have to learn to give things away and throw things away. Damn, I have clothes in my closet I haven’t wore since 1989. I am not exaggerating. I have a cloak I bought from a store called “Remember” In 1989 and a pair of socks from the same store, from 1988 (I still wear the socks though, black and white stripes. Undying design!) And so I must throw away things now, because I can not feed my nostalgia to the monster in the basement anymore. That is the storage in the basement. It is jam-packed to the last cubicmilliparticle (made up word, but useful). I mean, when I open the door down there I do it slowly and before the door is quite open I start holding things back with my shoulder and one elbow while I hold the door with my knee, otherwise I have a “movie moment”.

I must also re-pot my green monsters, but this’ll have to wait till March.

Ah, I smell sandalwood!

So now it is time …

Beelzie needs help in and out of the pool since we don't have a step installed yet. So it's in and out and in and out and in.... One and a half hour…

I have grown roots in the country with my Beelzie. In the forest. In the fields. In the backyard. I am not missing anyone or anything. No offence…
